Lupus is an auto-immune disease that may affect multiple body systems, including heart & blood vessels, joints, kidneys, skin, lungs, and nervous system. Lupus is a pertinent topic for health care providers from a diverse range of specialties. This event is also welcome to anyone interested in learning more about lupus. Please join Central Oregon Advanced Practice Provider Network and St. Charles Health System and the American College of Rheumatology for a Continuing Medical Education event featuring Heather Hansen, MD, a rheumatologist for St. Charles Health System. She will be moderating an educational presentation and discussion about identifying and understanding lupus. MDs, NPs, PAs, NDs, RNs, PharmDs, and those with an interest in public health are welcome. There is no fee to attend. Donation to COAPP is welcome. Learning Objectives: Identifying lupus signs and symptoms, especially presentation and prevalence in minority populations. Using ACR criteria to evaluate and refer potential lupus patients Facilitating co-management of a lupus patient with a geographically distant rheumatologist Identifying and managing lupus-specific preventive care concerns
